As a home health care agency, we are taking the following actions to protect our patients during the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Providing staff with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks, gowns, gloves, and face shields to ensure their safety and the safety of our patients.
- Screening our staff for COVID-19 symptoms regularly, and requesting that they stay home if they exhibit any symptoms or have been exposed to the virus.
- Conducting regular COVID-19 testing for both staff and patients to identify and isolate any positive cases.
- Providing training to our staff on COVID-19 infection control and prevention measures, including proper hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, and disinfection practices.
- Implementing telehealth services as an alternative to in-person visits where appropriate.
- Collaborating with local healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for our patients, and communicating any relevant health information with other providers involved in the patient's care.
- Encouraging patients and their families to practice social distancing, wear masks, and follow recommended guidelines to reduce the risk of transmission.
- Providing patients and their families with educational materials and resources on COVID-19 prevention and management.
- Regularly monitoring and following guidelines from public health authorities to adapt our practices and ensure the safety of our patients and staff.
